ABOUT ME
CEFrom the scorching summer heat to the city that never sleeps, home has meant Nevada to me, my husband, and my six children for the last 29 years. Although I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 1996, it wasn’t until my youngest child headed to elementary school that I followed suit by heading back to graduate school. Using the knowledge I gained from my degree in Family Science, I pursued a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from UNLV. Now, I balance my love for family, children, and grandchildren, with my career, religious and civic duties, and self-care.
Becoming a therapist has changed me from being an optimist, to a realist. I’m still an optimist by nature, don’t get me wrong, but as I have met with clients over the years I have truly come to appreciate that everyone has a story behind seemingly smiling faces. No one is perfect, we all have struggles, and everyone is on a journey.
I find joy in helping people along their walk of life. Therapy comes in many forms: empowerment, empathy, understand, psychoeducation, processing, healing, etc. One of the greatest gifts I can give my clients is a sense of hope and a belief in change.
I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach in therapy. CBT helps individuals learn how to identify and change thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotion. I am EMDRIA certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a wonderful tool to assist individuals process trauma. I love helping both individual clients and couples embrace all aspects of themselves and relationships.

Beautiful Possibilities
Change isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it. As you embark on a journey to become a happier and healthier self, celebrate the little moments. One day you will look back and thank yourself for the decision you made to grow.
Embrace You
We all have strengths and weaknesses. In order to grow, you must learn to embrace every part of yourself– the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. Therapy can help you become stronger and more confident in your thoughts and actions by developing a deeper understanding of self.
Love and Compassion
I have a great love for people, and a large capacity for compassion. No one is too far gone, too unlovable, or has made too many mistakes. No one’s struggles are too large, too shameful, or too overwhelming to approach. I meet my clients where they are and without judgment. Each individual has a story and is on a journey.
